The first British bomb disposal Female officer killed in duty

Lisa Head, 29 years old, is the first female bomb disposal officer to die during the war in Afghanistan. Lisa Head was making the way clear for her fellow officers in an alleyway in Helmand when she got injured. Her colleagues said that she was ‘’The most bravest and courageous woman they had ever met. She kept us safe by putting her life in danger.’’ Lisa had already defused one bomb and while she was dealing with the second she got hit. It was the 22nd day of her sixth month tour in Afghanistan.

Today I went to a paintball boot camp with some of my friends and we all decided that we have so much respect for the people in war. I have been hit 4 times, 2 in my chest, one in my arm and one in my hip. If I was at war with Afghanistan I was completely dead by now. I cannot imagine what pain her colleagues or family are going through now but it is not easy. The people there are risking their lives every day, but it makes me wonder, why do we do it? Why are we in war and why are we in war with a country which is not even our own. I do think that it is for a cause, but at what stake. I do not think that it is worth it because we cannot ever stop the evil in the world.
